Integrating local culture in physics lessons may encourage the development of creative thinking and problem-solving skills. This research aims at examining the effectiveness of the implementation of the creative physics problem solving model based on the local culture of Yaaqowiyu (Cripics-Qu) to improve student's creative thinking and problem-solving skills. This research employed a quasi experimental non-equivalent control group design. The experimental class was given treatment using the Cripics-Qu model, while the control class utilized the conventional learning model. The research samples were 120 students of grade X. The sampling technique employed was a cluster sampling technique. The data were collected using tests instrument. The instrument validity was determined based on the Aiken index while instrument reliability was measured based on Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The data were analyzed by using manova and quantitative descriptive. The results of this research indicate that there is a significant difference on the average value of the creative thinking and problem-solving skills between the experimental class and the control class (sig = .00 ˂ α). The conclusion of this research shows that the use of the Cripics-Qu model in physics learning is very effective in improving students' creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
