Sociology of Organ Donation in Algerian Society
Abstract
This study aimed to explore the beliefs and perceptions of Algerian society toward organ donation from an sociology perspective that considers cultural and social diversity. A descriptive-analytical method was used through semi-structured interviews with 18 participants from various regions. The results revealed diverse attitudes influenced by multiple factors. The study also highlighted the role of collective views of the body as sacred in shaping these attitudes. It questioned how cultural differences shape varying perceptions of organ donation in society
