Abstract

This research paper aims to reconsider the study of the Qur'anic discourse through modern pragmatics approaches, especially the pragmatic and argumentative approaches. It addresses a central issue: How can contemporary linguistic approaches, particularly the pragmatic and argumentative ones, reveal the functional and persuasive dimensions of explicit parables in the Noble Qur'an?

This study relies on a descriptive-analytical methodology based on the concepts of pragmatics and argumentation in analyzing a specific Qur'anic discourse, namely the explicit parables, to reach the following conclusions: The explicit Qur'anic parables are not merely rhetorical expressions or artistic imagery, but rather multidimensional linguistic tools that serve deep pragmatic and argumentative purposes through contemporary linguistic approaches.
